While you are at it, bring a portable barbecue grill with you. You can cook freshly caught fish on it, given it is allowed. If fishing is allowed under catch-and-release rules, consider bringing your own fish to grill. You can even grill other types of food besides fish on it.
You can take other cooking supplies with you too, such as cooking pots, eating and cooking utensils, and coolers, to keep your drinks and food cold, a cutting boat, and whatever you think is necessary. Come nightfall, turn on your fuel or battery-operated lantern. If you have installed solar-powered lights on your boat dock that automatically come on at night, you don’t need any other source of light.
